Inside Track: The Business of Formula 1

I worked as a CNBC intern during production of this one-hour documentary on the business aspects of the world’s most elite motorsports league. My role included assisting producers in research to examine the business side of the sport. I scheduled interview subjects, logged footage and transcribed interviews. The doc was timed to run ahead of the November 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, a highly promoted night race on streets that included the Las Vegas Strip.

NJ Mini Forests Growing Fast in Year 3

In Union County, New Jersey, fast-growing mini forests are cooling neighborhoods and creating thriving ecosystems. The young trees and shrubs are densely planted in super-rich soil, and grow rapidly both below and above ground.

Join us as we assess 3-year old forests in Elizabeth and Summit, NJ, and glimpse a new forest in Ithaca, NY. As local forest-planting catches on, a key microclimate solution will have large impacts.

Taste with Kevin Longa: Vietnam

I edited for the video series Taste, a short doc on Bến Tre, Vietnam, examining the significance of food in the village’s rebirth following the Tet Offensive of the Vietnam War. I worked with the series’ host on scripting and drafting video edits to tell this story promoting cross-cultural understanding.

Making MoDrag

The rise of drag in the mainstream media, seen in the popularity of television’s RuPaul’s Drag Race, is bringing unprecedented attention to drag. But this rise in pop culture is coming at a pivotal time politically with repeated threats toward the drag community and attempts to criminalize performances. The Museum of Drag (also known as MoDrag) was founded by a group of drag artists dedicated to preserving and honoring the legacy of drag through multimedia exhibitions. I interviewed co-founder, Dmitri Barcomi, as they set up a new pop-up in October 2023, including an exhibit titled “Worth the Risk.”
